Scholarship Examination in India

Staff Selection Committee is conducting SSC MTS 2019 examination to hire candidates for various blue-collar government positions such as Dhaftary, Jamadar, Peon, Safaiwala, Chowkidar, Mali etc. As and when declared, an expected of 10000+ vacancies will be filled through the 2019 version of SSC MTS examination. The examination will be held at various centres throughout the country. The MTS exam will consist of two parts, Paper I, testing the reasoning and aptitude of the candidate and Paper II, a descriptive based test. More than 70 lakh candidates are expected to take the examination. The examination will be completely held offline based on a pen-and-paper test.

SSC MTS 2019 Examination Dates

Candidates wishing to take the examination need to keep the following dates in mind. In case the candidates missed out on any of the mentioned dates, no extension under any circumstances will be provided. (the dates of the SSC MTS 2019 has been postponed and the exam dates will be announced on a later date):

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates wishing to write the examination must meet the minimum eligibility criteria set in order to write the examination. No exceptions in the eligibility criteria will be given under any circumstances:
  • Candidates should not be younger than 18 years of age and should not be older than 25 years. Relaxation of 3 years has been provided to OBC candidates and 5 years for SC and ST candidates. The relaxation has been further extended by 5 years for Persons with disabilities and ex-servicemen.
  • The candidate must be a citizen of India. Nepalese and Bhutanese citizens are also eligible for writing the examination.
  • Should have passed their 10th standard board examination from any of the recognised board.
  • Migrants from Sri Lanka, Uganda, Kenya, Pakistan, Myanmar, Tanzania, Malawi, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Zaire and Zambia who are willing to settle here on a permanent basis are also qualified to write the examination.

Application Procedure

Candidates who fulfil all the minimum eligibility criteria need to take the following application procedure in order to successfully apply for the examination. Only the applications of the candidate who have provided complete and filled application forms will be allowed to take the examination. The application process is completely online and any attempt to provide offline applications will be summarily rejected. To apply online the candidate should:

  1. Go to the official website of the SSC MTS 2019 examination.
  2. Go to the MTS section of the Apply tab.
  3. Create an account if not have already done so. The candidate has to provide with a valid email ID and phone number in order to successfully register at the scholarship portal.
  4. After Registering in the scholarship portal, a registration number and password will be provided. 
  5. Login to the examination portal with the details provided during the registration process and start filling up the application form. Only provide the correct details as mentioned in the supporting documents.
  6. Upload a scanned copy of your passport size photo and signature. 
  7. After completing the application process, the window will redirect to a payment gateway. The payment can be done through any of the candidate’s preferred payment methods, that is, online banking, credit or debit cards, mobile wallets etc.
  8. A fee of ₹100 is to be paid by general category candidate. There are no fees required for candidates of other categories. 
    Go to the official portal of the SSC MTS 2019 examination and login to your account using the credentials provided during the application process. 
    A link will be provided to download the admit card, click on the link to download the soft copy of the admit card.
    Once downloaded take a hard copy of the same as it will be required to gain entry into the examination hall. Entry won’t be provided to the candidates without the hall ticket.

Syllabus and Exam Pattern of SSC MTS 2019 Examination

If the candidates meet the eligibility criteria set and are willing to write the SSC MTS examination then they have to be well versed with the following topics which will be asked in the two papers and familiarise with the examination pattern to pass the examination and get the government job. Candidates who are familiar with the examination pattern can avoid any surprises and can better prepare for the nuances of the examination. Admit Card

Candidates who have successfully applied for the examination need to take the following steps in order to successfully obtain the admit cards. Admit cards will be given only to the candidates who have successfully provided a filled application form before the deadline date. The applications whose eligibility criteria have not been met will also not be provided with an admit card:

  1. Go to the official portal of the SSC MTS 2019 examination and login to your account using the credentials provided during the application process. 
  2. A link will be provided to download the admit card, click on the link to download the soft copy of the admit card.
  3. Once downloaded take a hard copy of the same as it will be required to gain entry into the examination hall. Entry won’t be provided to the candidates without the hall ticket.

Results and Salary Provided

The results for the SSC MTS 2019 will be announced on two occasions for Paper I and Paper II separately. The Paper I is held for shortlisting candidates and only the candidates who have been shortlisted in Paper I are allowed to write Paper II.  Paper II is of qualifying in nature and selection is based purely on the performance of candidates in Paper II. Candidates have to go through both the examinations to gain a government job through this examination. The selected candidates will be posted at various venues and their salaries will be dependent on the venues in which they are posted. Candidates posted in the city categories of X, Y and Z categories will be paid in hand ₹20245, ₹18355 and ₹16915 respectively.
