The online application form for VITMEE 2019 will be released on February 22 at www.vit.ac.in. The exam is held for admission to MCA, M.Tech/M.Tech (by Research) and Integrated Ph.D programs in VIT Chennai, Vellore and Bhopal Campuses.

VIT Master’s Entrance Exam is a national level examination managed by VIT University (Vellore Institute of Technology). VITMEE is held for 15 subjects for admission in M.Tech and MCA. The exam is scheduled for June 2 – 3, 2019 in online mode. A monthly stipend of INR 4000/- for top six GATE Qualified Scores in each M.Tech. program.

Who can apply for VITMEE

Only Indian nationals who have graduated from institutions located in India are eligible to apply for VITMEE 2019. Foreign and NRI/ PIO applications are to be made separately. These candidates can visit International Relations tab at VIT website.

• Applicants should have graduated (full-time degree from any recognized University/Institute) with a minimum aggregate of 60% or 1st class for MCA and M.Tech. degree programmes.
• Consistent Record in class X and XII is required.
• Final year (final semester) candidates are also eligible to apply.
• They must have completed their final semester/year exams before the selection interview at VIT.
• They must produce a statement of final year marks and Provisional degree certificate before August 15, 2019, failing which admission will be cancelled with the forfeit of the admission fee.

Academic Qualification

M.Tech (Master of Technology)

• Candidates must have passed B.Tech/BE or equivalent degree from recognized university with 60% or 1st class in the qualifying examination.

MCA (Master of Computer Application)

• Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration in BCA, B.Sc (IT/Computer Science) with Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 level or at Graduate Level.
• Obtained at least 60% or 1st class at the qualifying examination.

Scholarships

• Monthly stipend of INR 4000/- for top six GATE Qualified Scores in each M.Tech. Program.
• Top VITMEE / GATE scorers will get a stipend of 3600 Euros (i.e. INR 2.40 lakhs) for double degree program in Communication Engineeringfrom UAS, Darmstadt, Germany (under DADD fellowship) and in Sensor Systems from UAS, Karlsruhe.
• For M.Tech (Nanotechnology) – Student Fellowship of INR 12,400/- p.m per student and a Contingency of INR 15,000/- p.a per student will be given for the first 20 students admitted to M.Tech Nanotechnology, provided by DST (Nano Mission Council).

How to apply for VITMEE

Availability of Online Application Form: February 22 – May 21, 2019

VITMEE Application Forms is available at http://vtop2.vit.ac.in:8080/VITMEE/. The process of applying for VITMEE 2019 includes following 5 steps:

Stage 1: New User Registration

• Enter all the mandatory details carefully.
• A login password will be generated from VIT to the registered mobile number and email id.

Stage 2: Confirmation of password

• Sign – in by using email id and password received from VIT.

Stage 3: Filling online application form

• Provide all relevant details carefully, before submission.
• An application number will be generated after submission.
• Refer your application number for all your future correspondence.

Stage 4: Uploading of Photo and Signature

The documents must be uploaded once all the details have been entered. The dimensions of both Photograph and Signature have been mentioned below:

• Photograph Image: Size should be between 10 kb to 200 kb with the dimension of 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm.
• Signature Image: Size should be between 10 kb to 200 kb with the dimension of 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm.

Stage 5: Payment of Application Fee

• The application fee is INR 1121 which can only be paid through Netbanking/Debit/Credit Card.
• At the time of the transaction, if the amount is debited please do not try to fill the new application form. Please wait for 24hrs and try for the payment once again using the same registered email id.
• If the amount is not debited, you can try making the payment again.

Important Note

• Please do not send a hard copy of filled-in VITMEE application form.
• Please retain the registered mobile no. and email id till the completion of the admission process.
• During counselling eligible candidate can select the campus and branch of study as per the order of merit and availability of seats in any of the campuses.
• Application Form Correction: Candidate can edit their online application contents except for Email ID., Mobile no. and correspondence address details until May 21, 2019.

What is VITMEE Slot Booking

VITEEE Slot Booking: Last week of May 2019

Test slot booking is a web-based online scheduling system. After the online registration, candidates will receive an e-mail with a website link and the corresponding login credentials in the last week of May 2019 for VITMEE slot booking. It is must to book VITMEE Test Slot in the given time frame.

To book VITMEE slot, sign in with the login credentials and choose from the available options on test schedule and test centre. The slot booking will be done on FCFS (First Come First Serve) basis, subject to the availability of slot and seat.

In case of non-availability of slots, candidates may choose a slot in another center of their choice. After completing VITMEE Slot Booking, a confirmation mail will be automatically sent to the registered id.

VITMEE 2019 Admit Card

Issue of Admit Card: Last week of May 2019

Admit cards can be downloaded from www.vit.ac.in. It will not be faxed or sent by post or mailed personally. The candidates must not try to mutilate the Admit card or alter any detail. VITMEE 2019 Admit Card is not transferable to any other person. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence.

VITMEE Admit card will contain the following information:

• Name
• Registration number
• Photograph
• Signature
• Postal address
• Slot
• Date of examination
• Address of your test centre
• Test schedule
• Set of instructions for the test.

The candidate should carefully examine the Admit card once received. In case of any discrepancy, it should be immediately reported to the concerned authority:

Applicants will not be permitted to write the test without a valid VITMEE Admit Card. The Admit Card should be presented to the invigilators at the test centre for verification. It should be preserved and produced if demanded verification at the time of Interview/admission.

What is the Pattern of VITMEE 2019

Applicants must be aware of VITMEE 2019 Exam Pattern for qualifying the exam. The highlights of the exam pattern are as follows:

• Mode of Exam: Online
• Duration: 2 Hours
• Shifts: 2 (10 am – 12 noon and 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm)
• Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions
• Number of Questions: 100 (20 – English Language and 80 – Technical)
• Maximum marks will be 100. Each question will carry one mark.
• There is no negative marking.

Publication of VITMEE 2019 Result

Publication of Shortlisted Applicants: June 8, 2019 (Tentative)

VITMEE result is the basis for shortlisting the candidates for counselling and admission. VITMEE 2019 Result will be announced in online mode. Applicants will be able to access their result by using their Application Number and Date of Birth. On the basis of the performance in the examination, students will be shortlisted for the VITMEE counselling.

Steps to download VITMEE Result 2019

• Click on the official link to VITMEE 2019 result.
• By clicking on the link, you will reach the result page of VITMEE 2019.
• Log in using your 10 digit application form number and date of birth.
• VITMEE 2019 result will get displayed on computer screen.
• Take some printouts of the result as candidates must carry it to the counselling procedure.

GATE qualified candidates will be given preference on the basis of GATE scores for counselling and seat allotment over those candidates who only appeared in VITMEE 2019.

Candidates will be short-listed for counselling on the basis of their performance in VIT Master’s Entrance Examination (VITMEE) Rank. Attendance during counselling process will not assure admission since the seat allotment is based on the merit list and there is a possibility that some of the candidates may not get admission if the seats are filled before their rank/ turn comes.

• Selected candidates should pay an advance fee of INR 10,000 as VITMEE Counselling Fee.
• Only Computerised DD will be accepted payable to “VIT University”, at Vellore for the same.
• The counselling fee is Non-Refundable, but it will be adjusted in the tuition fees once the candidate joins the University.
• The candidate’s name will be removed from the admission list if they fail to pay the advance at the time of the Interview.

Documents to be produced during counselling

The following documents must be produced in original for verification while reporting for counselling. Candidates will not be allowed to participate in the interview without these documents:

• VITMEE Admit Card
• Class X and XII Std. Marks sheet
• Mark Sheets of all semesters/ years of the qualifying examination up to the pre-final/ final year as applicable
• Qualifying degree / Provisional Certificate (If already received)
• Transfer/Migration/College Leaving Certificate obtained from the Institute last studied (If already received)
• Valid GATE score card for Candidates applying for M.Tech. (if applicable)
• Service Certificate/ No Objection Certificate issued by the Employer. (For sponsored candidates for M.Tech. Programmes only)
• Community/Category Certificate (only for SC/ST categories).
• DEMAND DRAFT for INR 12,000, drawn in favour of “Vellore Institute of Technology”, payable at Vellore

Only after verification of these documents, the candidate will be allowed to participate in the counselling. The seat and campus for a programme once allotted is final and cannot be changed under any circumstances.
