About M.V.J. College of Engineering :

MVJ College of Engineering was established in 1982 as the flagship institution of the Venkatesha Education Society to impart education in engineering, management, and beyond. MVJCE’s 15-acre campus in Whitefield, Bangalore, bears state-of-the-art infrastructure that creates an environment for progressive learning and development.

M.V.J. College of Engineering Admission :

1. Undergraduate Engineering Programmes

Admission to Undergraduate Engineering programmes may be obtained through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) examination and selection process, or through the Management Admission process.

Eligibility Criteria: CET Admission Process

The student should have passed II PUC / 12th Standard or equivalent examination, with English as one of the languages, and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks aggregate in Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science. In case of SC/ST and OBC (Cat-1,2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B category) students from Karnataka, the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 40%.
The student should have cleared the entrance test conducted by the Govt. of Karnataka – KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)
Eligibility Criteria: Management Admission Process
The student should have passed II PUC / 12th Standard or equivalent examination, with English as one of the Languages, and obtained a minimum of 60% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
The student should have cleared any one of the Entrance Tests conducted by the Govt. of Karnataka or Govt. of India (KCET, COMEDK, AMPCK, AIEEE)

Note:
It is mandatory for students seeking admission through the Management Admission process, to undergo an online test on the campus.

2. B.E Lateral Entry: CET Admission Process

The student should have passed Diploma or equivalent examination as recognized by the University, and secured not less than 45% marks in the final year examination (fifth and sixth semesters), in the appropriate branch of Engineering. In case of SC/ST and OBC Students from Karnataka, the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 40%.
The student should have cleared the Entrance Test conducted by the Govt. of Karnataka (DCET – Diploma Karnataka Common Entrance Test).

3. POST-GRADUATE ENGINEERING PROGRAMMES

Admission to MVJCE Post-graduate programmes may be obtained through the Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) examination and selection process, or through the Management Admission process.

Eligibility Criteria: PGCET Admission process

+ MTech – Aeronautical Engineering
The student should have a Bachelor Degree in Aeronautical / Mechanical / Civil / Industrial Engineering & Manufacturing / Industrial Production / Automobile Engineering (or equivalent degree such as AMIE in the appropriate branch), with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

MTech – Computer Science & Engineering
The student should have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Science & Engineering (or equivalent degree such as AMIE, in the appropriate branch) with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

+ MTech – Digital Electronics & Communication
The student should have a Bachelor Degree in Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Telecommunication (or equivalent degree such as AMIE, in the appropriate branch) with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

MTech – Transportation Engineering
The student should have a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Technology / Transportation Engineering (or equivalent degree such as AMIE, in the appropriate branch) with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

MTech – Structural Engineering

4. Post-Graduate Management Programs (Mba)

Admission to MVJCE Post-graduate programmes may be obtained through the Karnataka Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) examination and selection process, or through the Management Admission process.

Eligibility Criteria:

The student should have a Bachelor Degree from a recognized University, with not less than 50% (Management Admission: 60%) aggregate marks. In the case of students from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category – I, the aggregate shall not be less than 45%.

Note:
A student seeking admission through the Management Admission process should have cleared any one of the examinations below:

For International / Nri Students

International / NRI students seeking admission at MVJ College of Engineering through the Management Admission process are requested to contact the Admission Cell at the college campus, directly, and obtain the Application Form.

Eligibility:

+ Student should have passed II PUC / 12th Standard or equivalent examination, with English as one of the
languages and obtained a Minimum of 60% aggregate in Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.

+ The student is not required to appear for any of the tests. The college will conduct an interview and tests. The assessment process prior to granting admission is as per rules mandated by the University.

Students who have passed the qualifying exam from a Board other than the Boards mentioned in the VTU list, have to obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, before the confirmation of their admission in the college.

M.V.J. College of Engineering Campus :

the institution has a structured system for maintaining and utilizing the facilities available. MVJCE Facility management team maintains the physical and academic support facilities. The various responsibilities of the team are housekeeping activities, maintenance of Garden, pest control, entire campus snag work, etc. MVJCE deployed location supervisors across the campus. Each location supervisor will report to the maintenance manager regarding his observations on electrical, plumbing, and housekeeping related issues/complaints. A logbook is maintained for the same. The college provides transportation facilities for its faculties and students. A transport committee is constituted to address and rectify any transport related issues. The security of the institute is taken care of by in house security guards with the help of an external private agency in two shifts round the clock.

The Placement Cell at MVJCE facilitates between the corporate and the student for recruitment. More importantly, it is geared to understand corporate requirements and develop students who are employable. In the 4 years of engineering at MVJCE, this is accomplished through 160 additional hours of targeted training. Our programmes are designed to improve confidence levels, analytical thought, presentation delivery, communication skills, and technical know-how.

MVJCE’s Placement Cell is supported by group discussion rooms, interview rooms, seminar halls, and more than 400 computers with 10MBPS dedicated internet and LAN connectivity that can be utilized for online tests.

Constant interactions with organizations from different industries and across the country ensure that the student and the Institute are always aware and knowledgeable of changing trends in the corporate world.
