About Canara Engineering College

Canara Engineering College is the millennium project of the Canara High School Association. It is a Konkani Linguistic Minority Institution. There was an acute need for starting this Engineering College because there was no Engineering College belonging to Konkani Linguistic Minority. The College was started in the year 2001 with 180 seats in 3 Branches of Engineering. Two more Engineering branches were added in the year 2004. At present it has 6 sections with 360 seats.

Library
More than 43000 books of various genre congregated in a state of art infrastructure of 1300 square meters housing 300 readers and learners at a time. Canara Engineering College Library is also facilitated by a reference section and Digital Library.

Hostel
Spacious buildings homely environment providing all the basic facilities like water cooler and purifier, telephone and television, reading room and on-site medical health-care makes students stay a pleasant during their years at the college.

Cafeteria
Two canteens located within campus serve vegetarian and also non vegetarian food in Indian and Chinese style and taste, in a clean neat and hygienic environment. Canteens are spacious and have better arrangement of serving tables.

Sports
Providing all indoor and outdoor facilities for games and physical activities, college motivates every student to participate in one or another activity and maintains a regular record of sports events and clubs.

Internet
Canara Engineering College Campus has 100 mbps leased line internet with unlimited usage with user safety and security mechanism. All computers in the campus have uninterrupted connection to this network round the clock.

Transportation
Around 20 college buses, everyday provide transportation in and out the campus covering city and around the city making a huge network of transportation. Dedicated automobiles have been reserved for emergency.

Healthcare
We provide on-campus Healthcare facility to every student in regular basis with providing personalized one-to-one basis counseling for betterment of student’s college and personal life.

Banking
Canara Engineering College has its own Canara Bank branch providing solutions for all students economical issues. This in-campus branch is also facilitated with a 24×7 ATM attached to campus.

Canara Engineering College Training and Placement

Training and Placement Department is established as an integral part of the College with an active role in career services for its Students.  The vital role of T&P Cell is to groom & shape the students and make them industry ready so that they can face the future challenges in the real world. Every student pursuing a professional career in engineering has an ambition to obtain a challenging job in a company of repute (a brand name) and make a successful career. The Department conducts various training sessions for students by eminent trainers from the industry and conduct workshops and seminar to enhance their skills.

To contrive and coordinate various Training and Placement activities, operate as Industry-Academia interface and facilitate corporate grooming of students into industry-ready technocrats and attain placement of students.
