About UVCE :

UVCE (University Visveshwaraya College Of Engineering)was established in the year 1917, under the name, Government Engineering college by BharatRatna Sir M Visvesvaraya, and was affiliated to University of Mysore.It is the 5th Engineering College to be established in the country after the formation of Bangalore University in 1964, UVCE became one of the constituent college of Bangalore University.
This is one of the oldest technical institutions in the country, imparting technical education leading to B.E, M.E, B.Arch, M.Sc (Engineering) and Ph D degrees in the various disciplines of Engineering and Architecture. It has completed 93 years of academic excellence since its inception. This pioneer has grown many folds and has acquired a leading position in technical education and is rated among the top 15 Engineering colleges in the country situate at K R Circle and in the neighborhood of Vidhana Soudha, Govt of Karnataka, the city campus is housing the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering. Department of Electronics Engineering and Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Proximity to city bus stand connects one easily to any part of the city. Amidst the Jnana Bharathi campus, the hub of Bangalore University, Post graduate Academic activities, the Engineering campus has departments of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
UVCE is recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) of the Govt of India and is a recipient of financial aid under World Bank’s Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme(TEQIP). UVCE has a NAAC rating of 5 Star for the past 4 consecutive years issued by the National Board of Accreditation. 1. Candidate must have qualified 10+2/ Intermediate or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from any recognized Board/ University.
2. KCET

UVCE  Eligibility Criteria For Diploma Lateral:

1. Diploma in the final year examination.
2. Diploma  passed with recognized University with at least 45% marks (40%in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).

UVCE  Admission Procedure:

University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) was founded in the year 1917 by Bharat Ratna Shri. M. Visvesvaraya. It is located in Bangalore, Karnataka and is the fifth Engineering college of the country. UVCE is now functioning as a constituent Institute of Bangalore University.

UVCE B.E and B.Arch Admission 2019 

The college offers B.E in 7 specializations and B.Arch in 2 specializations. It is mandatory for the aspirants to have passed 10+2/ Intermediate examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from any recognized Central/ State Board.
Admission to BE and B.Arch. course offered by University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering is given on the basis of the candidates’ merit in Class 12^th/ HSC or equivalent examination and their score of KCET.
KCET is conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for the admission of the candidates to full-time Engineering / Technology & Architecture, Medical, Indian Systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy, Dental, Farm Science, B-Pharm, and Pharm-D professional courses.

Key points:
Candidates must submit the scorecard of KEA-CET during the admission proceedings.
Reservation to the local residents of Karnataka is given as per the rules and conditions prescribed by the Government.
Applicants must submit all the mandatory documents with the application form, failing which may lead to the cancellation of the candidature.

UVCE M.E and M.Sc. Admission 2019
UVCE offers M.E in 24 specializations and an M.Sc. course under postgraduate program. It is compulsory for the candidate to have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Technology from any discipline with minimum 50% of marks (45% in the case of the reserved category candidates) from any recognized university.
UVCE admits candidates to its ME and MSc. Course based on their merit of Bachelor’s degree course and KPGCET score.
KPGCET is conducted by KEA at the state level for the admission of candidates in Professional PG courses.

UVCE Ph.D. Admission 2019
The college offers Ph.D. in 2 specializations. The minimum eligibility is a Master’s degree course in any discipline from a recognized university.
Admission to the Ph.D. program is done on the basis of Bangalore University Entrance Examination for research programs. Candidates with a valid GATE rank will be given admission on the basis of their rank.
Note: Candidates who have their valid UGC/UGC-CSIRJRF Test/NET/ SET/ Gate scores would be evaluated based on the scores of the qualifying exam.
