TISSNET 2018 Exam: Eligibility, Dates, Registration, Syllabus, Results
TISSNET 2018 Result will be declared on 27th January 2018. TISSNET exam is managed by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test (TISSNET) is a national level examination. Through this exam, candidates can get admission to the various postgraduate (MA) courses. TISSNET 2018 Important Dates
The computer-based test of TISSNET will be held on January 6, 2018. The important dates of TISSNET 2018 are provided below.

TISSNET application form 2018
TISSNET application form was available from October 24 to December 8, 2017. Online applications were accepted for the programme. However candidates belonging to the remote areas had the option to submit their applications offline till December 8, 2017. TISSNET application fee was Rs. 1030 for general category and for SC/ST it was Rs. 250 including bank charges. Candidates can apply maximum of three management programmes through the same application. The application form of TISSNET comprised filled in five stages. TISSNET 2018 Eligibility
Candidates having a bachelor’s degree with minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognized university are eligible to apply
Only those Candidates who will be able to complete all the requirements of their final year Bachelor’s Degree examinations by Saturday, June 02, 2018 are eligible to apply to all programs
For MA in Applied Psychology with Specializations in Counselling Psychology and Clinical Psychology, preference will be given to those candidates who have a graduate degree/BA in Psychology; BA/B.Sc. Home Science with specialization in Child/Human Development; BA Social Work, BA General-with minimum three papers in Psychology
The results of the final examination have to be submitted before September 30, 2018. Those who fail to do so the provisional admission stands cancelled

The selection of candidates for different programs happens in two stages and has three components of assessment. All candidates must appear for the National entrance test (TISSNET)
The weightage for NET (National Entrance Test), PIT (Pre Interview Test) and PI (Personal Interview) is as follows for the preparation of final merit lists for General as well as for Reserved Category candidates. NET – 40%; PIT – 30%; PI – 30%
The merit list will be prepared on the basis of merit and the preferences indicated by the candidates at the time of filling up the online application form (Kindly Indicate your preferences carefully as it has implications for the merit list)
Documents Required to submit along with the Application:
- Graduation Mark sheets (for UG courses)
- Caste Certificate (SC/ST category)
- Non-creamy Layer Certificate (OBC category)
- Certificate of Disability for Person with Disability (PWD)
- Bona-fide Certificate from candidates, those are in the final year of the degree (for UG courses)
- Income Certificate (SC/ST/OBC (NC) category)
- One stamp size photograph.
Merit List Preparation
- The weightage for NET, PIT and PI is as follows for the for the preparation of final merit lists for General as well as for Reserved Category candidates. NET – 40% ; PIT – 30% ; PI – 30%.

- In case of a tie between two candidates, their PI marks will be compared and the one with more marks in PI will be considered, in case there is a tie in PI marks too their PIT marks will be compared and the one with more marks in PIT will be considered, in case there is a tie in PIT marks too then the Entrance test marks will be compared and the one with more marks in entrance test will be considered, in case there is a tie in Entrance marks too then the candidate higher in age will be given the seat.

TISSNET syllabus comprises topics from General Awareness, English Proficiency and Maths & Logical Reasoning. TISS has prescribed the syllabus for TISSNET.The test covers questions related to Knowledge on Contemporary Issues, Analytical Ability, General Knowledge and Logical Reasoning.

TISSNET Cutoff 2018
TISSNET cutoff will be declared by the examination authority along with the result. The cutoff of TISSNET is the minimum marks which should be scored by candidates for shortlisting in the next round of selection process and admission. TISSNET cutoff will be released as per the category and candidates who will secure equal to or more than the cutoff will be selected for next round.
