SSC IMD Scientific Assistant Result | Mode of selection
The selection will be based on your marks in the Computer Based Test. Based on the marks, the State Selection Commission will prepare a merit list and hand it over to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) which would declare the final result. In cases of ties, they will be resolved by applying following methods respectively:
- Total marks (Part I & Part II) in the Computer-based Exam
- Marks obtained in Part II of the Computer Based Exam
- Marks obtained in Part I of the Computer Based Exam
- Date of birth, with preference to older candidates
- Alphabetical order of the first name as entered in the application form
- SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates, who are selected on their own merit without relaxed standards, along with candidates belonging to other communities, will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacancies.
