Future Growth:
After joining as an Assistant in RBI and working for 3 years an employee can opt for the departmental promotional examination to get the promotion to Assistant Manager level. So this can be considered a good opportunity to join RBI even if a person is not able to crack the RBI Grade B officer’s exam. It can be achieved gradually by staying in the organization for some time.
In many banks, a person who joined as an IBPS PO may reach to the position of General Manager in 14 years. After that one can aspire to the position of executive director or chairman of a bank. These are very high positions, nomination to which is decided by the Government and not by the individual banks.
