About NEST 2019:
NEST 2019 stands for National Entrance Screening Test which is a national-leveled examination. This examination in commenced for seeking admission to the five year integrated M.Sc course. This course is available at NISER or National Institute of Science Education and Research and UM-DAE CEBS or University of Mumbai-Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences, Mumbai.
Aspirants who wish to apply for the NEST 2019 are advised to register online through the official website of NEST – nestexam.in from January 7, 2019. The last date to submit the application is on March 11, 2019.

NEST 2019 Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria given below to be eligible to sit in the NEST 2019 entrance exam.
Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from any recognized Board in India in the years 2017 or 2018 or be appearing for the same in 2019.
Subjects: Candidate should be from regular science stream with only combination of at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics in classes XI and XII.
Minimum Marks: Candidates must obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate in class 12th examination. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories, the minimum requirement of marks is relaxed to 55% in aggregate.
Age Limit: General and OBC category candidates should born on or after August 01, 1999.
The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
NEST 2019 Application Form:

NEST Exam Pattern 2019:
Candidates can check the exam pattern of NEST 2019 exam given below.
Mode: The exam will be conducted through online (CBT) mode.
Duration: The exam will be of about 3 hours 30 minutes.
Type of Questions: Objective (MCQ) type questions will be asked in the exam.
Total Marks: The question paper will be of 230 marks.
Language: The language of question paper will be English only.
Sections: The question paper will consist of 5 (five) sections, each of the section will be 50 marks but general section will carry 30 marks.
Negative Marking: No negative marking in section 1. There is a negative marking for answering wrong in other sections.

NEST 2019 Syllabus:
NEST Syllabus 2019 will consist of topics from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and General Ability. Candidates have to study for only 4 subjects chosen by them. Some of the topics contained in the syllabus for each of the subjects are provided below:

The authority has not prescribed any syllabus for General Ability section. However, this section will contain questions from Science, History, Geography, English, Mathematics, G.K and Current affairs. Questions from mathematical ability of class 10thcan be asked in the paper. Passage type questions of science may also be asked.
NEST 2019 – Admit Card:
NEST 2019 admit card will be available to candidates online from April 24, 2019. The admit card will contain the details of the examination centre along with the candidates details. Candidates can download their admit card online by entering their login details

NEST 2019 Merit List:
The NEST 2019 merit list will be prepared soon after the results of NEST 2019 is released on June 17, 2019. The merit list of NEST 2019 will contain the minimum marks secured by candidates who have qualified the entrance test. Candidates whose names feature in the merit list will be called for the admission counselling of NEST 2019.
NEST 2019 Counselling Process:
Candidates will be called for counselling based on the merit list released. The merit list will contain the list of candidates who have qualified for the counselling process along with their rank and marks scored. Candidates need to submit all the certificates and relevant document during the counselling process.

- In personal interview, candidates are counselled and mentally prepared for the course they are aspiring.
