MAT 2019 | Exam Dates, Pattern, Application & Other Details
The MAT 2019 or the Management Aptitude Test 2019 is held by the All India Managemen Association (AIMA) for the admissions into the management courses of the participating institutions. The MAT is a government-approved examination. The examination will be held in both Paper Based Test (PBT) as well as the Computer Based Test (CBT) and both the test will be held in the month of December. The scores obtained from the examination is accepted by more than 500 management institutions throughout the country. The examination is held in 4 sessions throughout the year, and candidates interested in taking part in the MAT 2019 can do so in any of the sessions. The number of test centres for CBT and PBT varies, with CBT being held only in select few test centre out of the total 50 centres held throughout India. Important Dates of MAT 2019
Candidates who are planning on taking the MAT 2019 examination must keep the following dates in mind. The dates will not be extended under any circumstances, so it is in the best interest of the applicant to complete the tasks whenever the respective date becomes available. The candidates are eligible to write only for those examinations which they have applied for and will not be allowed to sit for any other examination besides the intended date. Also, keep in mind that the registration dates will commence immediately after the conclusion of the preceding MAT examination dates.

How to apply for MAT 2019
Only provisions for the online application for the MAT 2019 examination are available. Any applications provided through the offline mode will not be accepted and should not be expected to receive an admit card. To complete the admission process, a candidate can take the following procedure:
- Register for an account using a valid email ID. The registration number and password will be sent to your email ID.
- Once logged into the portal using the registration number and password, the candidate can start filling up the required fields. Students must be careful as to not miss out any details as only completely filled application forms will be provided with an admit card and will be allowed to write the examination.
- The candidate should then upload a scanned copy of their photograph and signature.
- Candidates can then choose to write how they wish to write the examination, CBT, PBT or both. Before choosing the Computer-based Test, students must check the examination centre as the CBT will be held only in the select centres across India.
- An application fee of ₹1550 should be made if you want to write either Paper-based test or computer-based test. To write both the examination, the candidate must pay ₹2650. The payment can be done through any of the online payment methods.
- After payment of the fee, the candidate can then press the SUBMIT button to complete the application process.
Admit Card
After the end of the application deadline date, the admit card for the MAT 2019 will be provided. To get the admit card, the candidate can take the following procedure. The admit card is necessary, and the candidate must bring it to the examination hall in order to be allowed to write the examination.
- Go to the official website of AIMA.
- Login to the portal using the registration number and password provided at the time of registration.
- Click on the link for the admit card provided and download the admit card. Take a printout of the same as it will be required at the time of the examination.
Results and Cutoff
The results for the respective MAT 2019 examinations will be released within a month of the end of the examination. Unlike the previous years, the results will not be sent through posts, email or via telephone. To check the results, the candidates have to log in to the respective AIMA accounts using the registration number and password and click on the result link provided. For the candidates who have mentioned before, the result will also be sent through posts. The results given will be valid for one year, and the candidates have to retake the examination if the validity date has passed. Based on the marks obtained, a shortlist will be prepared for admission into various participating institutions.
The marks of MAT 2019 will be on both percentile and score basis. The percentile is measured based on how well the candidate has performed as compared to other students. To get into the institutions which the students desire to enter, they have to go through an additional Personal Interview, Group Discussion and Written Ability test. The overall score is based on how the students have performed on all the rounds including the MAT 2019 examination.
