About Kudremukh Iron Core Company Limited (KIOCL):
Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Ltd Plant is located in Mangalore. The pellet plant with a capacity of 3.5 million tons per year was commissioned in Mangalore in 1987. The plant was shut down in 2011 but in 2014, the plant resumed the production and export of pellets from ores supplied by NMDC Limited. The pellets have been shipped to countries such as China, Iran, Japan, and Taiwan.KIOCL Limited, formerly Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited, is an Indian government company which has its headquarters in Bangalore. It has a pelletizing plant in Mangalore and an iron mine in Kudremukh (Chikkamagaluru district). The Kudremukh mine, one of the world’s largest iron mines, was closed in 2006. The captive mining took place in Kudremukh, in the Western Ghats chain. The mined ore was transported 110 km by slurry pipelines through the Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts to the Panambur pelletizing plant, adjacent to the New Mangalore port.

- Candidates appeared in different GATE paper (other than that of their Qualifying Engineering Discipline) will not be considered for further 4 selection procedure. For Example: If a candidate possesses a BE/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering and passed in Electrical Engineering paper in GATE 2018, his/her candidature will not be considered.

- Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Class (OBC) (Non-creamy layer) certificate from the Competent Authority. OBC certificate produced by candidates should clearly indicate that they do not belong to Creamy Layer.
