Kalpataru Institute of Technology (KIT) is located in Tiptur, Karnataka. The institute was established in the year 1986. Kalpatharu Institute of Technology (KIT) conducts undergraduate level courses in the field of engineering (Bachelor of Technology) along with postgraduate level course in the field of management (Master of Business Administration). Founded by Late Sri TM Manjunath, Kalpataru Institute of Technology is affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University, VTU, Belgaum. The courses offered by the institute are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The educational institution boasts of equipping itself with modern facilities.

Placement Activities
- Overseeing the placement process to its end; training, organizing and coordinating Campus Placement Programs which is the responsibility of the Training and Placement Cell. The Cell endeavors to carry out successfully all the processes methodically throughout the year.
- Promoting career counseling through guidance lecture programmes by suitable corporate representatives.
- Maintaining updated database, job profiles, recruitment patterns of the companies which helps to analyze and prepare the mindset of the students. The Placement Cell has an active file of database with a sample record of corporate world, which will be updated continuously.
- Helping every student to define his/her career interest through individual expert counselling.
Kalpataru Institute of Technology Alumin
Kalpataru Institute of Technology Alumni Association was founded in the year 2000. The objectives of the Alumni Association are as follows:
- Promote and foster relationship between alumni and the institute.
- Actively and constructively participate in the well being of KIT, by utilizing the good-will, rich experience and services of the alumin.
- Institute scholarships, prizes/medals etc, For deserving students of KIT.
- Maintain continuous interaction between the past and present students by publishing a newsletter, holding periodical alumni day celebration .
- Contribute towards improving entrepreneurship development activities, campus placements, library and centers of excellence at Kalpataru Institute of Technology.
- Arrange lectures by eminent alumni and other eminent personalities for the benefit of students and alumni.
