HMS Institute of Technology College (HMSIT) is a UG/PG Institution run by HMS Education Society, a non-profit Organization engaged in the promotion of Technical Education amongst the students and the dissemination of scientific knowledge in the Society.

HMSIT has set from the very beginning, as its goal, quality technical education, which endeavours to achieve high levels of academic excellence. It is planned in such a way that a student can get all the facilities and help to reach his destination. The laboratories have been set up not only according to the university syllabus but also with the state-of-the-art equipment. The HMSIT can boast of teachers of quality. The discipline is the backbone of any system and the college is duty bound to produce hardcore professionals and an effective system can only give the desired result.

The college consists of an academic and administrative building, a library and a vast area of open land, which helps the growth of young talents under healthy and natural environment

H.M.S Education Society (R), Tumkur (Karnataka) has a long history of two decades in imparting Technical, Para Medical and General Education for the benefit of eligible candidates in India and abroad.

The society was established during the year 1980-81 by veteran Educationalist Sri S. Shafi Ahmed, Ex. MLA, founder Chairman of the Society. He is the driving force behind all the developments of society. To begin with, in 1980, a polytechnic was started with just four branches. Four more branches were added subsequently. Since then, under his able leadership, the H. M. S Education Society has never looked back. To educate more people and to keep up the pace with the new Technological development, new Colleges and Schools were opened.

Today H. M. S Education Society is a household name in the field of Education in Tumkur. It stands apart for its quality Education for the diversified courses it offers in the field of Technology, Para-Medicine etc. More than 3000 students from all parts of India and abroad are studying in its campus right from L.K.G to Graduation & Post Graduation courses.

The Institute was established by the H. M. S Education Society (Regd.) during 1997- 98 with the objective of providing Technical Education. Permission is accorded by the State Government and it is affiliated to Visweswaraya Technological University, Belgaum, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Courses Accredited by NBA. The Institute is located in Tumkur – 60 K.M from Bangalore towards Mumbai, where all kinds of Institutions like MBBS, BDS, Engineering, BPT, DPT, Open Universities, MCA and MBA are situated. The Campus is well laid out on a stretch of over 30 Acres of land with beautiful landscaping. All the Buildings are architecturally designed to suit the natural rolling terrain. Eligibility Conditions for Admission

Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the four years B. E degree Course should have passed the two years of P.U.C Examinations ( with Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as Optional Subjects) conducted by the Pre – University Board Of Karnataka State or any Other Examination recognized as equivalent by the Visweswaraya Technological University and should have obtained not less than 45% of marks in the optional subjects.

Candidates seeking admission to Second Year of the Four Year B. E Degree Course must have passed the three year Diploma Course of the Board of Technical Examination of Karnataka Government in the respective Branches / Courses or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Visweswaraya Technological University and must have obtained less than 50% marks in the Final Diploma Examinations

In case of Candidates belonging to SC/ST & Category I/II/III (Karnataka Students Only), the minimum percentage of marks shall not be less than 40% in the optional subjects as per rules.

Admission will be according to reservation policy of the State Government and the eligibility criteria may change from time to time. The Candidates seeking admission are required to check the eligibility criteria before taking the admission

How to apply?

Candidates desirous of applying for HMS Institute of Technology (BE & MBA Courses) under Management quota should send their applications to the Director, , H.M.S Institute of Technology,NH-4, Kesarmadu Post, Kyathsandra, Tumkur – 572 104, Karnataka before the last date fixed for admission by the State Government & Universities, based on entrance test and filling up of seats by the CET Cell. The Candidates may also submit their application forms online. Apart from the above, the following documents should be compulsorily enclosed while submitting the application.

• Copy of S.S.L.C / S.S.C (10th) Marks Card.
• Copy of P U C (10+2) Marks Card.
• Copy of Transfer Certificate.
• Copy of Migration Certificate for Non-Karnataka Students.
• Copy of valid proof of their permanent residence (copy of Passport/Ration Card/Election ID Card etc…)
• Caste Income along with Hindutva Pramana Patra in respect of Karnataka Candidates only.
• Visa, Passport, and Political No Objection Certificate of Government of India in respect of Foreign National Students
