Govt. Engineering College Kushalnagar was established in the year 2007 by the Govt.Of Karnataka, Department of Technical Education, Bengaluru – 560001. It is Approved by AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to VTU, Belgaum. The primary aim of establishing the college at the gateway of Kodagu (Coorg) is to provide quality technical education to the students and to achieve academic excellence in UG program . All admissions to the college are made through Common Entrance Test(CET),conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), Bengaluru Govt. Engineering College Kushalanagara.

Candidate should have passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent Exam with English as one of the language
and obtained a Minimum of 45% OF Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer. (40% for SC,ST, Cat-1,2A,2B,3A and 3B category candidates).
Candidate should have qualifying rank in either CET ORCOMEDK entrance test.

Govt. Engineering College Kushalanagara Campus Facility:

The college campus is spread over an area of 10 acreas which was sanctioned by the Karnataka government and new infrastructure is under construction with built up area of 13,940 sq.mts . The infrastructure consists of spacious class rooms, laboratories, library hall, seminar hall, conference hall, work shops and administrative block.
Presently the college is running 4 UG programs namely civil engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science & engineering and electronics and communication engineering , each branch is having annual intake of 60 and the total annual intake of college is 240.
The institute has highly qualified experienced and dedicated teachers with reputation in their area of specialization. The faculty will strive to achieve the developments of positive attitudes in the students about their approach to studies.
The institute has computing facilities and internet facilities with a speed of 8 mbps. Presently the college has more than 120 computers with servers and softwares which is required for students.
The college has good library facilities and more than 4000 volumes of books are procured. The student of this institution have consistently performed well in the university examinations.
