Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa conducts the state level offline entrance examination for admissions to Professional Degree courses in Engineering and Pharmacy, in the state of Goa. Admissions to Degree course in Architecture will be through NATA. While admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS (Homeopathy) and BAMS (Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences and Nursing courses will be based on NEET UG.
The application form for GCET 2019 will be available on the official website. GCET 2019 (Goa Common Entrance Test) will be scheduled for the month of May 2019 at 15 exam centers in Goa.
All notifications related to admission will be notified in the three newspapers of the State of Goa, viz Navhind Times (English), Gomantak (Marathi) and Bhangarbhuin (Konkani). DTE Goa is authorised to release notifications related to admissions in the newspapers.
Candidates who qualify GCET may get admission in the government and private engineering and pharmacy colleges of Goa. Various colleges & institutions of Goa state consider the GCET score for seeking admissions into different courses.

GCET 2019 Eligibility
Candidates who have already passed/have appeared, or are appearing at HSSC (Std. 12th Science) or equivalent examination, before the start of the academic session, are eligible to appear for GCET 2019. Candidates seeking admissions only to Pharmacy Course need not appear in Mathematics subject in GCET 2019.
Nationality:
- Only Indian nationals can apply.
- Non-resident Indians or NRI with a valid passport can also apply under seat reserved for NRI category.
- Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) card holders are also eligible for admissions to seats under NRI category.
Age limit:
- There is no restriction on the lower and upper age limit for admission in Pharmacy and Engineering courses.

The student must secure not less than 45% marks in the subjects of Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology.

How to apply for GCET 2019
Goa CET 2019 application forms have to be filled offline. The offline form can be downloaded from GCET 2019 prospectus. The GCET application form consists of the following forms:
Form A: For admission to GCET based professional degree courses in Engineering & Pharmacy 2019-19.
Form B: For admission to NEET based professional degree courses in MBBS /BDS/AHS/ BHMS /BAMS/ Nursing 2019-19.
Form C: For admission to B.Arch degree course 2019-19 based on NATA.
Instructions for filling GCET 2019 Application Form:
- Photograph affixed on the application form should be a recent one (not taken earlier than 3 months prior to the date of application). 2 additional identical passport size photographs are to be enclosed with this application form.
- Write your Name in CAPITAL LETTERS and Date of Birth as it appears in your class 10th marksheet.
- The address must be complete, including the postal code.
- Telephone Number must be given with area code in brackets.
- Subject Code: Encircle codes of subjects you intend to attempt. The subject codes are:
Physics: PY | Chemistry: CH | Mathematics: MA
- Center Code: Write the preferred center code.
- Self-attested photocopies of the following CERTIFICATES to be enclosed:
a) SSCE (Class 10) Passing Certificate.
b) Std XII passing certificate or HSSC Examination Hall Ticket.
- This Form should be accompanied by Demand draft for INR 1800/- payable at Panaji, in favour of “Director of Technical Education” drawn on any Scheduled Bank, or any other approved form of remittance, as may be duly notified.

Goa CET Centers
GCET 2019 will be held at following test centers in the state of Goa. The code for centre preferred should be correctly entered on the application form. Any request for change in choice of papers and/or centre selected/allotted shall not be entertained after the issue of the Admit Card.
Depending on availability of accommodation at GCET test centres, Admission Committee will allot the examination centre. Allotment of Centre to applicants submitting forms (with late fees) will be done by the Admission Committee.
Important Instructions
- Candidates should be seated in the exam centre at least 15 minutes prior the scheduled start of the paper.
- No candidate is allowed to enter the test center after 30 minutes of commencement of the test.
- No candidate is permitted to leave the examination hall until the Goa CET is completed and all the answer sheets collected by the invigilators.
Goa CET Admit Card
Issue of Admit Card: April 2 – 7, 2019
Last date for issue of Admit Card with late fees: April 27, 2019
GCET Admit card has to be obtained from the admission committee. The admit card will be issued only to candidates in person. Candidates must produce ‘Photo Admit Cards’ for appearing in the test at the designated centre.
- Once the correct application form and fees are submitted by the candidate, an admit card will be issued thereafter to the respective candidates.
- The admit card will not be issued to those who have submitted incomplete application form and/or documents.
- Admit card will not be reissued if it is lost.
- Admit card will consist of all the important details about the exam like dates & timing, candidate’s name & roll number, venue for the exam.
- Candidates must bring their original admit card on the day of the exam to the venue.
- It is recommended to carry one Photo ID proof along with all the required documents.

GCET 2019 Cutoff
Cutoff of GCET exam will depend on many factors such as previous years cut-off, number of applicants, overall performance. Some of the factors are mentioned below:

GCET 2019 Result
Declaration of GCET Result: May 16, 2019 (Tentative)
GCET Results will be available on the website of DTE Goa and on Notice Board at DTE. No individual scorecard will be issued. Any change in schedule will be notified in designated newspapers.
- On the basis of marks scored by the students, merit list will be prepared for providing admission.
- There is no provision for revaluation/ marks verification.
- Candidates can download the merit list from the website.
GCET Counseling 2019
Counselling process will start most probably in the month of June/July, 2019. The counselling schedule and the selected candidates’ list of GCET 2019 must be checked by the candidates for appearing in the counselling procedure. Qualified candidates have to fill application form B for admission at the notified location.
- As per the marks obtained by the candidates, separate merit list will be prepared for all the courses.
- Successful candidates will be invited for counselling on the basis of merit list.
- The counselling must be personally attended by the respective candidates.
- All the candidates should carry their admit card, educational documents at the time of counselling.
- Candidates will get the seat or select the seat on the basis of their rank in the merit list.
- The reserved categories’ vacant seats will be merged with the general category at the end of each round on the admission process.
- At the time of admission, candidates have to bring their original required documents including 10th and 12th class mark sheets, the rank card of GCET 2019, passport size photo, certificate of 10th and 12th class, caste certificate, domicile certificate and character certificate etc.
- If candidates fail to appear for the admission rounds, their seats will be offered to other candidates in the merit list.
