DU LLB Entrance Exam 2019 is a university level test conducted annually by the Faculty of Law. The examination is conducted to shortlist aspirants for admissions in 3-year LLB Program. This year, the examination is scheduled for June 19 (tentative) in computer-based mode.
Delhi University’s Law Faculty offers LLB, 2-year LLM and 3-year LLM programs. The official schedule for DU LLB will be released shortly. However, last year DU LLB was conducted on June 17 (from 12 pm to 2 pm) and DU LLM was held on June 18 (from 8 am to 10 am). To shortlist candidates for LLM Program admissions, candidates must appear for DUET exam.

DU LLB 2019 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility standards are segregated as per candidate’s category and qualification as well. A brief about the same are listed below:
- Candidates must possess at least 55% marks in the qualifying examination.
- Applicants belonging to reserved categories must possess 45% marks in qualifying exam.
- Relaxation of 5% will be given to the widows/wards of ex-servicemen/ serving personal (CW) and Physically Handicapped (PH)
DU LLB Application Form 2019
The application forms for the law entrance examination will be available in online mode only. This year, the registration window will become functional in May 2019. It will be a month-long registration window. Listed below are the basic steps involved:
Part 1: Registration
Step 1: Visit the official website of DU LLB
Step 2: Click on ‘New Registration’
Step 3: Provide the following credentials:
- Candidate’s Name
- Date of birth
- Email ID, etc.
Step 4: After filling all the credentials click on ‘submit’
Step 5: You will be provided with User ID and Password on the registered id.
Part 2: Filling details in Application Form
Step 6: Log in with the user id and password provided at the time of registration.
Step 7: You will be redirected to a new page where other details must be filled.
Step 8: Candidates have to fill the following details in DU LLB 2019 Application Form:

- Educational details
- Communicational details, etc.
Part 3: Uploading of Images
Step 9: Scan and upload the required documents:
- Passport size photograph in jpg format.
- Scanned image of signature in jpg format.
DU LLB Application Fee Payment
The registration process will not be successful without the payment of application fee. Make note that fee once paid will not be refunded.

DU LLB 2019 Admit Card
The document will be released on the official portal of DU LLB only. As of now, the official schedule is not yet published by the Faculty of Law. But, as per the previous year trends, the hall ticket will be available in June 2019. Candidates who fail to produce their admit cards on the exam day will not be allowed to appear for DU LLB 2019.
Given below are the steps to download DU LLB 2019 Admit Card:
Step 1: To download Admit Card, go to the official website.
Step 2: Look for ‘DU LLB 2019 Admit Card’ link.
Step 3: Enter your Register ID and Password.
Step 4: Save and take a print out of the document.

DU LLB 2019 Exam Center
The convening body of DU LLB Entrance Exam, will release the list of the exam centers at its official website (http://www.du.ac.in/du/index.php?page=ll-b). Test Cities will be released once the notification is out in May 2019. It must be noted that the final allotted center will be mentioned on the admit card. The centers will be allocated on a first-cum-first serve basis.

DU LLB Syllabus
Aspirants appearing for legal aptitude test in May 2019 should be fully aware of the syllabus. A brief syllabus for UG program is given below:
Section 1: English Language Comprehension
The questions in this section are from comprehension and grammar. They are designed in order to test a candidate’s aptitude in English. In the comprehension section, candidates are evaluated on the basis of their understanding of the passage, its central theme, the meaning of words etc. In the grammar section, candidates are required to spot the errors, fill in the blanks with an appropriate choice etc.
Section 2: General Knowledge
Candidates are tested on the basis of their awareness of national and international issues including static General Knowledge. It is important to keep oneself up-to-date with the news and other topics discussed in the print and digital media from March 2016 to April 2019.
Section 4: Legal Awareness Aptitude
The section tests candidate’s interest towards study of law, research aptitude and problem-solving ability. The official website stats – ‘Questions will be framed with the help of legal propositions (described in the paper), and a set of facts to which the said proposition has to be applied. Some propositions may not be “true” in the real sense (e.g. the legal proposition may be that any person who speaks in a movie hall and disturbs others that are watching the movie will be banned from entering any movie theatre across India for one year). Candidates will have to assume the “truth” of these propositions and answer the questions accordingly.’
Section 5: Analytical Abilities
The questions are designed to test a candidate’s ability to identify patterns, rectify illogical arguments and logical links. They will be framed around syllogisms, logical sequences, analogies, etc. However, visual reasoning will not be tested.
DU LLB 2019 Result
The result of the law entrance exam shall be notified on the University website at www.du.ac.in. It will also be displayed on the Notice Board of the Admission Committee, Faculty of Law. The results are released within 2 weeks after the examination concludes. Given below are the steps to check online DU LLB 2019 Result:

DU LLB Answer Keys
The answer keys of the examination are released within 24 hours of completion of the LLB Exam. Any objections to the keys must be challenged up to two days from the date of uploading of the Answer Keys of DU LLB by the Dean, Faculty of Law.
The test takers are the only eligible candidates who can file or raise an objection. One must attach the copy of their admission ticket while filing the objection. The objection/s must be made in writing to the Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, along with authoritatively written proof of the claim of correct answers with supporting documents by e-mail to dean_law@du.ac.in.
Important Points:
- Objections relating to LLB must have the heading: Objections to LL.B, Entrance Test Answer Key
- Objections to LLM shall have the subject line: Objections to LL.M. Answer Key
- An expert body of the Law teachers will decide on the objections to the proposed answer key and will notify a final answer key.
- No objections regarding the final answer key shall be entertained.
- It is expected, that the finality of the result declared shall be maintained by all concerned including courts and shall not be interfered in any manner.
DU LLB 2019 Counselling
Counselling process will begin in the last week of July 2019. The shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling. The seats will be allotted on the basis of candidates rank. There is no separate form to be filled for counselling process.
