About BTL Institute of Technology :

BTL Institute of Technology & Management was established in 1997, under the banner of BTL Educational Trust for Rural Development founded by Prof. B.T.Lakshman, an NRI settled in the USA. BTLITM is situated on National High way, Hosur Main Road, Bommasandra, 10minutes drive from Silk Board on Express Elevated flyover, and near Electronics’ City Bangalore

BTL Institute of Technology & Management campus is spread over in 25 acres of lush green scenery and an excellent environment for a well balanced & highly competitive Technical Education center. M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering :

Efficient and resource –optimal computing is extremely important in today’s world. There is an increased need for advancement in computer architecture and integration of computer hardware, software, algorithms and data management techniques. The advanced knowledge of these aspects enhances career prospects in computing. M Tech in Computer Science & Engineering is intended to train the students in advanced areas in the core courses and specialized areas in Computer Science & Engineering.

M.Tech in Digital Communication and Networking :

M Tech in Digital Communication & Networking has been structured to provide in-depth knowledge to students of Electronics and Communication Engineering in various subjects like Advanced Digital Communication, Advanced Embedded System, Antenna Theory and Design, Digital Electronics, Error Control and Coding, Advanced Computer Networking and Linear Algebra. The specialized soft core courses like RF Design, Wireless & Mobile Network, Advances in Communication, Real-Time Operating System being offered will help students to specialize in different areas of their interest and industry needs.

M.Tech in Thermal Power and Engineering :

This programme is designed to provide a sound and in-depth training in various aspects of design,
manufacture, testing, control, and evaluation of Thermal Power Equipment. Thermal Power Plants have an
increasingly dominant role to play in the vital power generation sector. The course content aims at developing
the necessary analytical and technical competence among engineers in this area. This programme aims at necessary analytical and technical competence in various aspects of Thermal Power Engineering. Thermal Power plants have an increasingly dominant role to play in the vital power generation sector.

MBA :

The M.B.A Programme was introduced with a vision to create and equip prospective managers with leadership skills, lateral thinking and critical evaluation abilities that go to make successful entrepreneurs and corporate heads of tomorrow

BTL Institute of Technology Admission :

admission to first year B.E. course is made for candidates through CET/COMED-K and Management Quota as per norms specified by Government of Karnataka and VTU from time to time.

Admission to the first year shall be open for the candidates who have passed the Second year Pre-University Examination conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board with Science Subjects.

10 + 2 of the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary education) / ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary education).

Any other equivalent examination recognized by the University.

The candidate shall have secured not less than 45% of marks in the aggregate with Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects:- Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology & Electronics. Provided that, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be 40 in optional subjects in case of candidate belongs to SC/ST and OBC. Provided that, the candidate shall have studied and passed English as one of the subjects.

The admission shall be opened for the candidates who are holders of a Diploma or equivalent examination, as recognized by University and has secured not less than 50% marks, in the final year examination (Fifth and Sixth Semesters) in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST & OBC and in respect of others the candidate has secured not less than 45% Marks in the appropriate branch of engineering specified by government from time to time. Such a candidate shall clear prescribed bridge courses as specified by the University.
