About Anjuman Engineering College

Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management, formerly known as Anjuman Engineering College, is the prestigious unit of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, which manages 16 institutions, and is recognized as one of the premier educational organizations in South India. AITM was established in 1980 as a Muslim minority institution, and is currently positioned among the renowned technical institutions in Karnataka, with a well developed infrastructure and dedicated faculty. AITM is the only institution in North Canara, which offers Master of Business Administration course of Visvesvaraya Technological University. Many students have achieved good ranks at the university level, and have been placed at reputed companies in India and abroad. It has a well disciplined and conducive study environment with a 50 acre Wi-Fi campus, Masjid, and hostel with vegetarian and non-vegetarian boarding facilities. The departments of Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering have been recognized as research centres under Visvesvaraya Technological University. Sincere efforts are on, to impart adequate skills to the students, enabling them grow up to a globally competent level and tackle the professional challenges in a multidisciplinary working environment.

Anjuman Engineering College Admission

The college offers 5 undergraduate programs and 3 postgraduate programs at AITM. All the B.E. undergraduate programs require 62 courses.

B.E. in Civil Engineering
Civil engineering is the professional practice of designing and developing infrastructure projects. This can be on a huge scale, such as the development of nationwide transport systems or water supply networks, or on a smaller scale, such as the development of individual roads or buildings.

B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering
Degree in Computer Science deals with the theoretical foundations of information and computation, taking a scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications. Computation is defined as any type of calculation or use of computing technology that follows well-defined models in the practice of information processing.

B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering deals mainly with the large-scale production and distribution of electrical power, while also focusing on electronic circuits.

B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering
This program teaches candidates how to apply electronics technology to design, test and troubleshoot advanced devices and systems. It trains students in basic electrical theory and hands-on application, subsequently moving on to increasingly complex electrical systems, platforms, telecommunication systems and circuit design.

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical engineering deals with the study and application of mechanical systems. It will include subjects such as mechatronics, structural analysis, thermodynamics and engineering design.

Master of Business Administration
The master’s degree in Business Administration equips students with necessary knowledge and managerial skills to occupy positions of management and administration in business, industry, public system and the government. The MBA program covers a range of areas dealing with business such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, and operations.

Requirements for Engineering

The applicant should have passed PUC/ 12th standard or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Electronics as optional subjects with English as one of the study languages and obtained a minimum 45% marks in aggregate in the above subjects (40% for Karnataka students under SC, ST and OBC).
Engineering Diploma holders are also eligible for admission to second Year B.E. (III semester for Karnataka CET students only).
