Eligibility

A Candidate seeking admission must:

1. Hold a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
2. Be a registered nurse.
3. Have passed Pre-University examination in Arts/Science/Commerce by conducted by Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State or its equivalent recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
4. Have knowledge of English
5. Should be medically fit
6. Have good personal and professional record.
7. Candidates should produce Eligibility Certificate form Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka
8. Age of candidate who is above 48 years of age on 31st December of the year of admission shall not be eligible.

How to Apply

A request for the prospectus and the application form should be made to the chairman, Alva’s Education Foundation Moodbidri” payable at Moodbidri.

The duly filled up application along with the necessary document should be sent to the Principal, Alva’s College of Nursing, Moodbidri.

The following documents duly attested should be enclosed with application

1. Four photo copies of marks card of PUC /+2
2. Four photo copies of SSLC certificate showing the date of birth
3. Four photo copies of physical fitness certificate by registered medical practitioners
4. Six copies of passport size and four copies of stamp size photographs
5. Four photo copies of Conduct certificate and from the institution last attended.
6. Four photo copies of Transfer Certificate and Migration certificate.
7. Four photo copies of certificate in general nursing.
8. Four photo copies of each marks card of general nursing.
9. Four photo copies of the certificate of registration in state nursing council
10. Registration fee of Rs.300/- by D.D. drawn in favor of ‘ the Chairman Alva’s Education Foundation Moodbidri” payable at Moodbidri

M.Sc Nursing

Speciality

Eligibility

1. Passed in B.Sc Nursing (Basic) or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing or Post Certificate B.Sc Nursing of RGUHS or any other university accepted as equivalent by RGUHS and must have obtained a minimum of not less than 55% aggregate marks. In request of candidates belonging to SC and ST, the aggregate marks obtained be not less than 50% instead 55% as above.
2. Minimum of one year of experience after obtaining B.Sc Nursing (Basic) or minimum of one year of work experience in a hospital or in Nursing Educational Institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council
3. Registered in any state nursing council as a registered nurse and registered midwife.
4. Candidates shall be medically fit.
5. Age for general category should be below 48 years and for SC/ST candidates below 50 years at the time of admission.

A request for the prospectus and the application form should be made to the chairman, Alva’s Education Foundation Moodbidri– 574 227. Along with a DD Rs 300/- drawn in favor of “the chairman. Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri” payable at Moodbidri.

The duly filled up application along with the necessary document should be sent to the Principal, Alva’s college of nursing Moodbidri.

The following documents duly attested with the application:-

1. Four photos copies of date of birth certificate
2. Four photo copies of mark cards in Basic B.Sc (N) PC B.Sc (N)
3. Four photo copies of the certificate of registration in state nursing council
4. Four photo copies of mark card of PUC/+2
5. Four photo copies of attested degree certificate
6. Four photos copies SSLC certificate showing the date of birth
7. Four photo copies of physical fitness certificate by registered medical practitioners
8. Six copies of passport size and four copies of stamp size photographs
9. Four photo copies of Conduct certificate from the institution last attended.
10. Four photo copies of Transfer certificate.
11. One year experience certificate for Basic B.Sc (N)
12. The registration fee of Rs. 300/- by DD drawn in favor of the chairman Alva’s Education Foundation Moodbidri payable at Moodbidri.

Eligibility for Admission to GNM in Alva’s College Of Nursing Sciences

1. 10+2 with 40% Marks from any Recognized Board. However, Science is preferable.
2. Candidates are also Eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government.
3. Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 years as on 31st December and 35 years respectively.
4. 5% is relaxed for SC/St candidates.
