Alpha Educational Trust was founded in the millennium year 2000 by a group of well- known academicians. The primary focus of the institution is to explore the young minds to the world of the technology. Alpha College of Engineering ensures to impart quality Engineering education to meet the technological advances and industrial requirements matching global standards. Students are provided with effective technical knowledge consistently keeping the students focused on the latest technology to cope-up with requirements of industries and society.

Alpha College of Engineering is located in the outskirts of Bangalore. It is a forerunner in knowledge expertise in today’s fast-growing information age. The college is 14 kilometers from Bangalore city railway station and 200 meters away from outer peripheral ring road and Express Highway connecting to Kempegowda International Airport.

The college is spread across ten acres of tranquil landscape and is situated across farmland and a seasonal lake. The students can enjoy this serene atmosphere for academic learning, freeing them from the distractions of the city. The college has spacious lecture halls, well-equipped laboratories, and an excellent library. The outstation students are provided with excellent hostel facilities. The college is well accessible through public transport as well as College transportation facility.

Although the college is located technically on the outskirts of Bangalore, it is well connected by the public transport and the college transport system. It is located 200 meters from the express highway to the Devanahalli international airport and the outer peripheral ring road. The college has the distinction of being accessible and close to the city while being far away from the noise and pollution, in its own oasis.

The Alpha College of Engineering offers diploma programmes in Mechanical and Electronics and Communications Engineering, graduate programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. These courses consist of eight semesters over a duration of four academic years. In addition, four Post-Graduate programmes are offered.

The members of the Alpha education trust are all distinguished luminaries in their fields of study. Social workers, economists, authors and scientists are all members of the board of education backing the college.

The Founder trustee and technical advisor of the college, Dr. Venugopal K. R. is an author of numerous books in economics, computer science, and electronics. Currently, he serves as the principal and Dean of Faculty of Visveswaraiah College of Engineering in Bangalore. Every member of the board similarly has numerous achievements accredited to them. Alpha College of Engineering- Admission

The Government of Karnataka conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission into various professional courses. The CET is generally conducted during Feb/March and the notification will appear in all leading newspapers.
A merit list will be prepared based on the combined performance in PUC/XII Std.
Seat matrix is announced indicating seats available in different colleges in different branches based on the sanctioned intake.
Bachelor of Engineering

Duration: 4 years (8 Semesters) – Full Time
Eligibility: Candidates should have passed PUC/10+2/or equivalent with 45% aggregate in PCM (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).
Diploma candidates should have a minimum aggregate of 50% (45 in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) for lateral entry.
Non-Karnataka candidates are also eligible for lateral entry.

Master of Technology

Thermal Power Engineering
Duration: 2 years (4 Semesters) – Full Time
Eligibility: Candidates who have passed the prescribed Qualifying Examinations (PGCET(Karnataka)/GATE/PG Entrance examination of other state governments) with not less than 50% of the marks in aggregate of all the semesters/years of the degree examination (Cumulative sum of the secured marks of all the semesters/years divided by the sum of the maximum marks).
Cumulative sum of the secured marks of all the semesters/years divided by the sum of the maximum marks). However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and CAT-1, marks shall not be less than 40%.

Duration: 3 years (6 Semesters) – Full Time
Eligibility: Candidates should have passed SSLC/10 with 35%.
