HPNLET Full Form is Himachal Pradesh National Law Entrance Test
HPNLET 2018 Application form will be released in the month of January 2018. HPNLET is conducted by Himachal Pradesh National Law University. Through this entrance exam candidates will get admission in various Law courses such as BA LLB/BBA LLB/LLM etc offered by university. Intake
In each Under Graduate Programs i.e. BA/BBA LL. B (Hon.) 60 students will be admitted. For the Post Graduate Programs, One Year LL.M. Program, the intake is 20 students; and for Ph. D. program the intake is 10 students. Out of the total sanctioned strength of each course, 25 % seats are reserved for Himachal Pradesh State Domicile Candidates as per HPNLU Act, 2016

Eligibility Criteria
For BA/BBA LLB Program
Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved/ OBC/ Specially abled Person (SAP)/ NRI/ NRI Sponsored Categories/Kashmiri Migrants (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST Categories)
Candidates appearing in qualifying examination in March/April 2018 are also eligible to apply
For LLM Program
Candidates must have a LLB or equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks in case of Unreserved/ OBC/ SAP categories and 50% in case of SC/ ST Categories. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam in April/May 2018 are also eligible to apply
For PhD Program
Candidate must have LL.M. or equivalent Degree with a minimum of 55% marks. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May 2018 are also eligible to apply
Note: Candidates who have obtained 10+2 through Open School/ Universities system directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible for the Law Course

Examination Pattern
- Type of Question:Only Multiple Choice Question will be asked in the HPNLET paper.
- Number of Questions:The Paper will contain total 150 questions.
- Duration of Exam:The Duration of Exam will be 120 minutes.
- Marking Scheme:1 mark will be awarded for correct answer.
- Negative Marking:25 marks will be deducted for wrong answer.

- Candidates must select Notifications link on the official website.
- Applicants firstly need to register by clicking on Admissions Link on Homepage of the Website.
- Candidates can fill online application with all the necessary details required.
- Fill all the details like Name, Date of Birth and other Details in the correct manner as per the rules.
- Pay the fees online as described below.
- After the payment is completed, Take 2 printouts of the submitted application.
- Put the thumb impression, signature and photograph at the required place on the form.
- Submit the printed copy of the application form in an envelope by hand or by registered post/courierand make sure that it reaches the respective office on or before the last date by 5.00 p.m.
