Founded in 1981 by Vasavi Academy of Education, Vasavi College of Engineering represents a rich tradition of excellence in technology-based education. A premier-league institution among the affiliates of Osmania University, Vasavi College of Engineering owes its vision to Sri Pendekanti Venkata Subbaiah, a veteran statesman of Independent India.

Vasavi College of Engineering, in its 38 years of existence, is a reputed institution in the State of Telangana. The college in its pursuit for quality in technical education has earned 3rd ranking in the State and 32nd in the country (source: Hindustan Times on 24th June 2009).

The college offers six UG (Civil, Mechanical, ECE, CSE, EEE and IT) with total sanctioned intake of 600 and 6 PG programmes [ME (ES & VLSI); ME (CE & SP); ME (ADM); ME(PS & PE); M.Tech (CSE)] and MCA with total sanctioned intake of 156].

Located in the sylvan suburbs of Ibrahimbagh in Hyderabad, Vasavi College of Engineering presents a picturesque view flanked by the glorious Golconda Fort. Situated over a sprawling 13.6 acre campus with lush lawns, a beautiful landscape, aesthetic architecture and avant-garde infrastructure, the College epitomizes an exemplary setting for higher learning.

The college has been granted autonomy by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi and Osmania University, Hyderabad for all the programs for a period of six years with effect from 2014-15.

Vasavi College of Engineering, established in 1981, is a self-financed institution, approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Osmania Universisy, Hyderabad and offers 4-year Undergraduate Programmes in Engineering Education (B.E), and a 2-year Postgraduate Programme in Engineering Education (M.E).

The Departments Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) and Mechanical Engineering (Mech.) have been recognized by the Osmania University, Hyderabad as Research Centers.

Eligibility Conditions for Admission

Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the four years B. E degree Course should have passed the two years of P.U.C Examinations ( with Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as Optional Subjects) conducted by the State or any Other Examination recognized as equivalent by the College and should have obtained not less than 45% of marks in the optional subjects.

Candidates seeking admission to Second Year of the Four Year B. E Degree Course must have passed the three year Diploma Course of the Board of Technical Examination of State Government in the respective Branches / Courses or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the State University and must have obtained less than 50% marks in the Final Diploma Examinations

In case of Candidates belonging to SC/ST & Category I/II/III , the minimum percentage of marks shall not be less than 40% in the optional subjects as per rules.

Admission will be according to reservation policy of the State Government and the eligibility criteria may change from time to time. The Candidates seeking admission are required to check the eligibility criteria before taking the admission

How to apply?

Candidates desirous of applying for BE & MBA Courses under Management quota should send their applications to the Director, before the last date fixed for admission by the State Government & Universities, based on entrance test and filling up of seats . The Candidates may also submit their application forms online. Apart from the above, the following documents should be compulsorily enclosed while submitting the application.

• Copy of S.S.L.C / S.S.C (10th) Marks Card.
• Copy of P U C (10+2) Marks Card.
• Copy of Transfer Certificate.
• Copy of Migration Certificate for Non-Karnataka Students.
• Copy of valid proof of their permanent residence (copy of Passport/Ration Card/Election ID Card etc…)
• Visa, Passport, and Political No Objection Certificate of Government of India in respect of Foreign National Students
