Eligibility Conditions for Admission
Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the four years B. E degree Course should have passed the two years of P.U.C Examinations ( with Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as Optional Subjects) conducted by the Pre – University Board Of Karnataka State or any Other Examination recognized as equivalent by the State University and should have obtained not less than 45% of marks in the optional subjects.
Candidates seeking admission to Second Year of the Four Year B. E Degree Course must have passed the three year Diploma Course of the Board of Technical Examination of State Government in the respective Branches / Courses or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the State University and must have obtained less than 50% marks in the Final Diploma Examinations
In case of Candidates belonging to SC/ST & Category I/II/III (Karnataka Students Only), the minimum percentage of marks shall not be less than 40% in the optional subjects as per rules.
Admission will be according to reservation policy of the State Government and the eligibility criteria may change from time to time. The Candidates seeking admission are required to check the eligibility criteria before taking the admission
How to apply?
Candidates desirous of applying for Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (BE & MBA Courses) under Management quota should send their applications to the Director, , For admission by the State Government & Universities, based on entrance test and filling up of seats by the State Examination Cell. The Candidates may also submit their application forms online. Apart from the above, the following documents should be compulsorily enclosed while submitting the application.
- Copy of S.S.L.C / S.S.C (10th) Marks Card.
- Copy of P U C (10+2) Marks Card.
- Copy of Transfer Certificate.

The CBIT placement cell was established in 1996 with a prime objective of creating career opportunities for promising CBIT students in reputed corporate organizations, aiming towards meeting the aspirations of all the stakeholders. To accomplish this career objective, the placement cell has identified corporates in various sectors, and initiated the process of building a mutually rewarding relationship with them.
Having completed a fruitful journey of 21 years so far, a total of 300 companies visited CBIT recruiting 12,909 students from various disciplines. It was a proud moment when CBIT was ranked 31st in the country and 1st in the state in placements among top 100 engineering colleges by the ‘OUTLOOK’ magazine – 17th July 2006 issue. The CBIT placement cell was instrumental in entering into MoU’s with reputed corporate giants like CTS, Infosys, Wipro, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ericsson & Infotech for conducting various Industry Institute initiatives.
