About Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management:

Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management (HITAM) is situated in a sprawling lush, green campus at Medchal in Telangana State. It was started in 2001 as Royal College of Engineering at Medak. This institution sought to impart qualitative education in the field of Engineering and Management. Transformation at HITAM does not stop with mere physical infrastructure; it extended far beyond. It has manifested as best practices, which have evolved with continuous refinement, be it in education, embracing eco-consciousness, facilitating career planning and ensuring faculty development, all from a perspective of overall growth of its students and faculty.
HITAM is the first campus in India that was certified as a Silver-Rated Green Building in the category of educational institutions, by LEEDS, US Green Building Council.
Our History
HITAM today is a standing testimony to the vision of Arutla Prashanth, its Founder & Chairman, whose vision was to impart value based education in the larger interests of the society. A mechanical engineer who has an MDP from Harvard, USA, Prashanth is the grandson of Sri Arutla Ramachandra Reddy and Dr. Arutla Kamala Devi, who spent the best part of their lives for the betterment of the less privileged in the Telangana region. The founder’s vision stems from the illustrious lineage he belongs to.

Dr. Arutla Kamala Devi was elected to the assembly thrice from Alair (Nalgonda Dist.) and was general secretary of the AP Women’s Federation. She is the first and only woman opposition leader of AP Assembly till date. The Kakatiya University conferred an honorary Doctorate degree on her. Arutla Ramachandra Reddy was elected twice to the Assembly and represented Ramayampet (Medak) and Bhongir (Nalgonda). Such was their selfless devotion to public cause that they even turned down the allotment of land given to all MLAs in the up market Banjara Hills area in Hyderabad.
HITAM, as an institution, draws inspiration from their lives and seeks to live up to the values upheld by such noble souls, viz. absolute sincerity in their ceaseless search for the purpose of their lives. HITAM believes that education is the soul of the society and aspires to contribute its mite towards academic.

Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management Admission Procedure:

A-Category (Convener Quota)
70% of the seats are filled by the Convener, EAMCET under category A. Detailed notifications are issued by the State Council for Higher Education to attend certificate verification and exercise web options. Final allotments are announced through portal to both candidates and the respective colleges. Candidates need to report to the college within the dates specified. All the students who are eligible for fee reimbursement have to submit relevant documents during web counselling. Reimbursement is subject to the government policies, eligibility criteria and submission of relevant documents in time.

B-Category (Management Quota)
30% of the seats are filled by the college under category B as per the guidelines given by the competent authority.
Last date for submission of the duly filled in application along with copies of certificates is 28.06.2017 by 5:00 PM

Spot Category
After all the internal sliding, external sliding and dropouts are entertained, the colleges are asked to arrive at the vacancy list which is to be published for the aspirants. The leftover seats are filled by the colleges as per the guidelines given by the competent authority.

How to apply?
To be eligible for these scholarships, students should submit the completed Scholarship Application and furnish all relevant details along with a personal statement highlighting your unique achievements and special interests.

Rank holders below 5,000 ranks in EAMCET are eligible for 100% fee waiver.
Rank holders between 5,000 to 10,000 ranks in EAMCET are eligible for 50% fee waiver.
National level winners/participants in academic competitions like Mathematics Olympiad, Science Olympiad, National Science fair or exhibitions (Winners shall be given more weightage).
State level winners/participants in academic competitions like Mathematics Olympiad, Science Olympiad, National Science fair or exhibitions (Winners shall be given more weightage).
State level winners/participants in sports (Winners shall be given more weightage).
Participants in other activities and achievements may also apply and eligible students may be considered after thorough scrutiny of their application by the Scholarship recommendation committee of HITAM
