RR Institute of Technology Admission

Eligibility: General merit candidates should have passed PUC or 10 + 2 or any other equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Math’s, Physics and in one optional subject like Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Electronics and Computer Science.

Duration: 4years

Lateral Entry: Diploma with 50% Duration : 3 years

The basic eligibility requirement for admissions is:

  • Candidates must have passed Class 10+2 exam from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects.
  • They must also have secured minimum aggregate marks of 60% in the above subjects combined.

While all these specialisations offer bright prospects for students to get into different careers, computer science engineering is probably the most sought after specialization today. This is also reflected in the high cut off exam scores that top engineering colleges such as IITs, IIITs and NITs as well as some of the best central universities command from their respective applicants in order to award this programme to them.

In India, all technical programmes including BTech, fall under the regulatory purview of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Admissions to BTech programmes take place through National level/State-level/Institute-level engineering entrance examinations
