History
T John Institute of Technology [3] is part of the T John Group of Institutions. Since a humble beginning in 1993 the T John Group has expanded to include new departments and blocks and spread over an area of 20 acres. TJIT was set up in the year 2006. Starting with just two courses B.E. Computer Science Engineering and B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering, today the college has expanded into a provider of technical education, offering B.E. degrees in six streams of engineering, as well as two post graduate courses.
The Department of Information Science Engineering and the Department of Telecommunication Engineering were established in the year 2007. In the same year the institute also started the Business Administration Department that offers the MBA programme under VTU. In 2009 the first batch of Mechanical Engineering students joined the institute to pursue B.E. in Mechanical Engineering under the newly established Department of Mechanical Engineering. Continuing its growth in 2010, T John Institute Of Technology started the MCA program under VTU.
T John Institute Of Technology is a private engineering college established in the year 2006 with aim to produce quality engineers. It is part of T John Group of institutions. Institute’s vision is to be recognized as among top engineering institutes of the country.

The admission shall be on the basis on the CET(only for Karnataka students), COMEDK/AIEEE/ JEE Entrance examinations.
At present, the institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate level programs which includes B.E. and M.Tech. T John Institute Of Technology,offers several courses including more than 5 specializations at the undergraduate level, and 10 at the postgraduate level.Seats are allocated on the basis of merit of the candidate as determined by the performance in the relevant entrance examination (CET / COMED K / PGCET).Reservation is in accordance with regulations of the Government of India, with relaxations given in minimum qualifications as well.Students can apply through online mode with the relevant examination board or with the Institute itself, as is applicable.Management quota is available for certain courses, for which the forms are available offline.3 year Diploma with minimum of 50 percent marks in the final examination for Lateral Entry.Any other equivalent examination approved by the VTUAdmission to the Institute will be made according to directives of AICTE and Karnataka Government as applicable to each academic year.Admission to the B.E. placements were good in this college,Around 65% of students were placed at that time,IBM,Aryaka networks,oracle are some of IT companies which visited in this campus,Around 2.5-3 lakh package they had,Study 2-3 programming language is important for interview at the placement time,so do some programming courses too,so u can do u r interview well during placements.
No internship provided at that time,I have not opted for any kind of internship,so don’t know much about internship,but many of tell that doing internship in a good company is a good thing and it will help u in future.Even we have to pay for internship,sometimes internship cost will be high.

Department of Information Science and Engineering organized an Industrial Visit for the students of 4th, 6th semesters to ICAT Design and Media College, Bommanahalli, Bengaluru – 68 on 27 Feb, 2019.
